Road tripping 2020 - Day 7

Today was the day for some real off roading, but first we had to get to the mountains. Those ones, way in the distance. 

Had to have a stare down with a cow about who was being too use the road. 

Ominous.

Rocky roads and by that I mean we were shaking back and forth like a Thanksgiving Jello mold in a 7.0 Earthquake. 😲

Fire remnants.

Had to scout a seeming dead end. Just a sharp turn and our first river to ford. 

And our first downed tree to move. Good thing we had a winch. But the tree was too big to move, so we had to saw part of it and use the winch to break it. It was quite spectacular but alas no video. 

Made to the other side land of golden fields and flat roads. 

At the entrance to our camp ground. Hmmm....

And a well earned dinner of pesto chicken!
